The Grand Rapids Youth Symphony and Classical Orchestra are continuing their tradition of bringing some of this area’s most exceptional and hardworking young musicians together to make and experience the very best in orchestral music. These students are our future. Some of them will go on to major in music and bring us enjoyment for the rest of our lives. Most of them will go on and become teachers, scientists and doctors. Together we wrestle with the great icons of our musical heritage. We develop our creative sides and present topnotch and exciting performances. All of our students pay a fairly hefty tuition for this experience, but tuition alone doesn’t fill the bill.
We appeal to our friends twice a year – autumn and spring – for their generous help in providing this invaluable experience to so many talented young musicians. Your generous gift will help us to keep this quality program alive and vibrant. You can read our most recent fundraising letter here.
Please consider how you can help in supporting the future of music in our community. We also earnestly desire your attendance at our concerts. Concerts are typically scheduled for late October, early March, and early May. We fill our concerts with inspiring music played by excited performers.
It is our promise to you that we will treat your gift to us as carefully as we treat the music and the students in our orchestras.
Note: The Grand Rapids Youth Symphony is part of and is administered by the Grand Rapids Symphony, a 501 (c) (3) organization.
