The Grand Rapids Youth Symphony thanks all who participated in the 2018-2019 GRYS Piano Competition. We are pleased to announce this year’s winners:
1st Place
Hope Chun – Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1
Hope will perform this piece with the GRYS at its winter concert on Sunday, March 3, 2019. The concert begins at 3 p.m. at DeVos Performance Hall in downtown Grand Rapids.
2nd Place
Rebekah Shomsky – Clara Schumann Piano Concerto
3rd Place
Sharon Shaw – Grieg Piano Concerto
